Play rain sounds and other ambient noise with Background Sounds on iOS
Background Sounds is a feature I use regularly. It’s particularly good when used with noise-cancelling headphones.
Toggle Background Sounds on/off easily by adding Hearing to Control Centre.

iOS 13.2 Killing Background Apps More
Super annoying.
I’ve become a bit addicted to Pocket-Run Pool — a charming and well-designed single player pool game with a bunch of different playing modes.
Itinerant is an experimental weather forecast app, utilizing the human visual perception system (i.e. recognizing shapes and colors) instead of the symbolic interpretation system (i.e. reading words and numbers).
Looks interesting and available on the App Store — I (of course) use Weather Line.
The animations used in this game are great.
I struggled to get into Stardew Valley on the Nintendo Switch but there’s something appealing about dipping in-and-out on my iPhone — it’s a lovely game:
